It is important during the time of Advent that everyone dedicates more time to prayer, penance and reading of the Bible. We encourage all parishioners to attend the sacrament of confession before Christmas.

During the Advent we support those in need. Caritas Finland’s Advent Collection supports small farmers in Sri Lanka. We can donate via Caritas web page caritas.fi, directly to Caritas bank account, via Mobile pay or to the donation box in the church.

The feast of the dedication of our church and the Finnish Independence Day will be celebrated on Wednesday 6.12. The Holy Mass will begin at 10 am. The Cantores Minores Alumni choir will sing during the Mass. There will be no evening Mass on Wednesday.

The solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be celebrated on Friday 8.12. There will be Mass in Finnish at 7.30 am and 6 pm.

There will be a meeting of a charismatic prayer group on Friday 8.12 after the evening Mass in the parish hall.

There will be the Vesper prayer in Latin on Saturday 9.12 at 3 pm, afterwards the Rosary and the Tridentine Mass at 4 pm.

We invite children to a Sunday school in Finnish. The meeting will take place on Sunday, 10.12 at 10 am in the parish hall. There will be the Holy Mass in Finnish for children at 11.30 am. We invite all children to a rehearsal of the Christmas play on Sunday 10.12 after the Mass for children about 12.30 in the church.

Elders and homebound persons can ask a priest to visit them at home and to bring the Holy Communion. Contact our parish office.
