October is a month dedicated to the Rosary prayer. We pray together the Rosary before the English Mass at 5.30 pm. We encourage to pray the Rosary also at home especially with your families. 

A course for English speakers who wish to improve their Finnish for masses and prayers will continue on Tuesday 15.10 at 6.45 pm in the parish hall. 

There will be a youth meeting on Saturday 19.10 at 6 pm in the parish hall. 

The joint pilgrimage of the Nordic Catholic dioceses to Rome for the Jubilee Year will take place from Fri 31.1.2025 to Tue 4.2.2025. The programme includes visits to the main pilgrimage sites of the Holy Year, an audience with the Pope and Mass in St Peter’s Basilica. A total of 10 places have been reserved for members of St Mary’s parish, of which 5 are free. Please register at the parish office. 

To celebrate the anniversary of our parish, a drawing and logo design competition is organised. There are three categories: for children under 12 years old, a drawing competition on the theme of ”Me, my family and St. Mary’s church”; for young people aged 13-19 years old, a design competition on the logo of St. Mary’s parish anniversary; and for adults, a design competition on the logo of our parish anniversary. Finished works can be submitted either in person at the office or by e-mail by 31.10.2024.
