Father Zenon Strykowksi SCJ celebrates his farewell Holy Mass as a chaplain in our parish on Sunday 1.1 at 10 am and he will return to Poland on Wednesday 4.1. Fr. Zenon has worked three years in our parish and 23 years in Finland. We thank him for his pastoral work and wish him abundant God’s blessing in his new assignments in his homeland.
Stickers and prayers for the yearly home blessing are available in the porch. At the beginning pray together the Our Father and Hail Mary prayer, one reads the prayer of blessing and fixes the sticker. Donation for a sticker is 2 Euros to support the missionary work of the church.
We will celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord on Friday 6.1. There will be Mass in Finnish at 10 am, Mass in Finnish for children at 11.30, Mass in Polish at 4 pm and Mass in English at 6 pm. Catholics are obligated to attend the Holy Mass on that feast.
Martti Savijoki SCJ – a new chaplain in our parish will celebrate the Holy Mass on Sunday 8.1 at 10 am.
We invite children from 5 to 8 years old to a Sunday school in Finnish. The meeting will take place on Sunday 8.1 at 10 am in the parish hall.
Many thanks to those who have donated Christmas gifts to Ukrainian children and other humanitarian aid to families in Ukraine. The campaign went well and brought great joy to the children and families.
A marriage course will be organized for those who plan to get marry next year. The course will begin on the 10th of January 2023 in the parish hall of St. Henry’s cathedral at 7 pm.
We invite all 14 – 30 years old young people to participate in the World Youth Day in Portugal next year. More details on the information board.
