We thank all those who took part in the preparation of the Holy Week liturgy. We thank our sacristans, our organists and our choir for wonderful music, all altarservers, those who set the flowers in the church, and those who take care of our parish hall. May God bless you.
The next week belongs to the Easter Octave:
On Monday Mass in Finnish at 10 am and Mass in English at 6 pm.
There will be an organ music concert on Thursday at 7 pm.
Morning Mass on Saturday at 11 am.
On the 28th of April we will celebrate the Divine Mercy Sunday.
The plenary indulgence is granted (under the usual conditions of a sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion and a prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff) to the faithful who, on Divine Mercy Sunday, in a spirit that is completely detached from the affection for a sin, even a venial sin, recite the Our Father and the Creed, and also adding a devout prayer (e.g. Merciful Jesus, I trust in you!).
Jesus asked that the Feast of the Divine Mercy be preceded by a Novena to the Divine Mercy which would begin on Good Friday. He gave St. Faustina an intention to pray for on each day of the Novena, saving for the last day the most difficult intention of all, the lukewarm and indifferent of whom He said:
“These souls cause Me more suffering than any others; it was from such souls that My soul felt the most revulsion in the Garden of Olives. It was on their account that I said: ‘My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass Me by.’ The last hope of salvation for them is to flee to My Mercy.
We wish you a blessed time of Easter!
