We will celebrate the following feasts during the next week: the memorial of Korean martyrs on Wednesday 20.9, the feast of St. Matthew, apostle and evangelist on Thursday 21.9 and the memorial of St. Padre Pio on Saturday 23.9.

The Lectio Divina in Finnish – reading and meditating on the Holy Bible – will take place on Wednesday 20.9 in the parish hall after the evening Mass.

The First Communion and Confirmation classes in English will begin on Saturday 23.9 at 10 am in the parish hall.

There will be a March for life on Saturday 23^rd of September. It will begin at the Senate Square at 2 pm. The Holy Mass in Finnish will be celebrated at 11.30 in our church.

We invite children to a Sunday school in Finnish. The meeting will take place on the Sunday 24.9 at 10 am in the parish hall. There will be the Holy Mass in Finnish for children at 11.30 am.

There will be a half day Bible Conference as the continuation of “Encounter with Jesus” program on Saturday 30^th of September from 1pm – 5 pm. The Bible Conference includes preaching, songs, confession, Holy Mass and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with prayers for healing. Details on the bulletin board.

The Legion of Mary meets on Monday after evening mass in the parish hall.

The parish council will gather on Tuesday 5.9 after the evening Mass in the parish hall.

The nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be celebrated on Friday 8.9. There will be Mass in Finnish at 7.30 am and 6 pm.

If your child in the third grade or older has not yet received his/her First Communion, please register him/her for the First Communion preparation class in Finnish. The class starts on the 9^th of September at 10 am and is held once a month on Saturdays until the First Communion. Please register at the parish office (tel. 09-2411633 or maria(ät)katolinen.fi).

We ask the parents of all youngsters in the eighth grade to register their teenagers for the preparatory course for the Sacrament of Confirmation in Finnish. Also, any youth or young adult who is older than that age and has not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation is welcome to register for the course beginning on the 9^th of September. Bishop emeritus Teemu Sippo SCJ will celebrate Mass on Sunday 10.9 at 10 am and will accept new members to the Catholic Church.

Mass in Tagalog is celebrated on the second and fourth Sunday of the month at 1 pm.

The solemnity of Saints’ apostles Peter and Paul will be celebrated on Thursday 29.6. There will be Mass in English at 6 pm.

There will be a charismatic group meeting on Friday 30.6 after the evening Mass in the parish hall.

There will be an adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with prayers in English on Saturday 1.7 from 3.30 till 5 pm.

There will be no Mass in Polish on Sundays 2.7 and 9.7.

There will be only morning Mass on Friday 23.6. at 8 am.

The Nativity of St. John the Baptist will be celebrated on Saturday 24.6. There will be Mass in Finnish at 6 pm.

The traditional diocesan feast will be held on Saturday 19^th of August in Turku. The diocesan feast will begin with a solemn Mass in Turku Cathedral at 11.00 am.
